Motoring Research is a key partner of ACRISS supporting the industry with their expertise and experience and providing car coding for over 10,000 models and updates on a monthly basis. Recently we have launched new CO2 emissions efficiency coding and additional data on EVs with the help of Motoring Research’s expertise.
Motoring Research was founded in 1986 as an automotive research and data analysis consultant. It was established by Peter Burgess, who formerly used to work for the Consumers Association. Current director Richard Aucock* joined in 2001 and since 2019, the business has been part of an Employee Owned Trust.
Over the years, Motoring Research has grown into a publisher and content agency, with editorial supporting the business’s original mission of bringing clarity and insight to automotive data.
This breadth and insight helps the business work with ACRISS to provide monthly car codes of new models available to rent in Europe. This has expanded further over the years, into Middle East and Africa, with coding for other major global markets in development.
* Richard is vice chair of the Guild of Motoring Writers, is a World Car Awards steering committee member and juror, the UK judge for AUTOBEST and is editor of Auto Retail Agenda and Auto Retail Bulletin.
